Dion came from my very good friends, Paul and Mikki Dewis of Ozashi Akitas in Rugby.
I had long admired her sire,Taz. When they told me they'd kept 2 puppy bitches back from the first litter he'd sired and would I have a look and tell them what I thought I was more than happy to get some puppy breath!!!
They then told me these 2 pups were already 4 months old! so much for puppy breath.
I was showing Shar pei at BUBA open show and Paul and Mikki were there also.
They brought the 2 girls out for me to see. By then they were 5 months old.
Dion instantly stood out as the one I preferred.
Both big girls with huge bone and good colour and markings. Lovely tail sets and forechest!
Dion had a beautiful strong head with lovely dark little eyes and was so sound already.
I had been wanting a new pup to campaign for a while and never been in the right circumstances to get another Akita.
Paul and Mikki asked if I'd like to show her a little for them, for sure I would! I thought she was lovely.
Anyway, by her 2nd show I'd brought her home to do some "training" with her and she's been here ever since!
Paul and Mikki have given me a great Akita girl and I am hoping she will be the foundation bitch I've been looking for. Dion's pedigree speaks for itself with Top Akitas and Top Producing dogs and bitches on both sides of her American/English pedigree.
